Manitoba is Canada’s western Prairie province, famous for generations of rich agricultural production. The province has a specific Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), called the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). It is a collection of immigration pathways for foreign nationals who wish to become Canadian permanent residents.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program offers various immigration streams for four categories:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)

This immigration stream focuses on workers who already have employment experience or employment offers in Manitoba. As per rule, candidates applying to this stream need to be currently living and working in Manitoba during their application. In some specific scenarios, candidates may be invited to apply to this stream after participating in a recruitment drive with MPNP overseas.

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

The Skilled Workers Overseas Program consists of three immigration streams targeting skilled workers who have the potential to join Manitoba’s workforce. Streams such as Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas and Manitoba Express Entry Pathway prioritize workers who have experience in certain in-demand occupations of Manitoba.

International Education Stream (IES)

This immigration stream is designed for recent graduates from various designated post-secondary institutions of Manitoba. As per rules for applying to this stream, candidates must have gained some work experience or business management experience in Manitoba province. They can gain the experience after completion of their graduation or during their study program as part of an internship or co-op.
